Who We Are
The clean energy transition is accelerating—driven by climate commitments, public investment, and growing employer demand. Delivering on this transition requires not only technology and capital, but a workforce system capable of operating at scale.
We believe decarbonization at scale is only possible with a workforce prepared to deliver it. Yet too often, clean energy workforce efforts operate in silos—limiting coordination, slowing progress, and constraining impact.
Our Mission
To bridge the gap between clean energy workforce development and employer needs by building capacity in workforce organizations and facilitating strategic partnerships across the ecosystem.
Our Vision
To become a leading market transformation organization creating systemic change in how clean energy workforce development operates—shifting from fragmented, siloed efforts to coordinated, employer-aligned programming at scale.

Four Solution Approach
Turning systems-level ecosystem change into reality requires more than strong intentions. It requires sustained ecosystem collaboration, capacity-building programs, advisory support, and practical resources and tools that respond to real workforce and employer needs.
Clean energy workforce development is a team sport. We work across organizations and sectors to align priorities, co-create solutions, and move from planning to implementation. Our work is grounded in four core solution areas, and you can learn more about each of them here
Our Story

The Green Launchpad began with a simple but powerful realization: many people who want to contribute to climate and sustainability solutions don’t know how to turn that passion into a real career.
Our Founder and CEO, Angela N. Son, knew early on that she wanted to address climate change but found few clear, practical pathways into climate-related work. It wasn’t until Angela discovered the clean energy industry that she realized how many career pathways exist today, and how urgently workers are needed across a wide range of skills. Yet too often, people who want climate careers are never told these jobs exist.
That experience became the foundation for The Green Launchpad. We saw that the real challenge isn’t a lack of ambition or opportunity; it’s a lack of connection between people, training systems, and employers. We exist to close that gap, so people of all backgrounds and skill sets can access clean energy careers without having to figure it out alone.
Our Values
We’re building systems-level change—and we do it with discipline, humility, and deep respect for the communities and organizations doing the work.
Equity is the outcome
We’re building systems-level change—and we do it with discipline, humility, and deep respect for the communities and organizations doing the work.
Credibility through implementation
We stay close to operational realities and real constraints—what workforce orgs and employers actually need to succeed.
Partnership is the strategy
Equity isn’t a tagline—it’s a measurable commitment. We prioritize solutions that expand access, remove barriers, and create long-term mobility.
Practical tools over theory
Our outputs are usable. Templates, systems, toolkits, playbooks—things people can apply immediately.
Systems change is the goal
We don’t compete with the ecosystem—we strengthen it. We convene, align, and support shared wins.
Build with, not for
We listen first. We co-design with practitioners and communities—and we iterate.
